2N introduces the Milesight 4G Mini Industrial Router UR41

Installing IP intercoms doesn’t always go smoothly. In retrofit projects, historic buildings, remote entrances, or locations without a fixed internet connection, running a PoE cable to the entrance can quickly become complex, costly, or even impossible.

To address this challenge, 2N now offers the Milesight 4G Mini Industrial Router UR41: a compact, energy-efficient 4G router that makes the benefits of IP-based intercom systems accessible at locations where traditional network infrastructure is difficult to implement. This router is available through BusinessCom, 2N’s distributor.

Thanks to 4G technology, no network cable is required, only a power supply. Combined with the My2N Management Platform, installers can fully configure 2N intercoms remotely online and set up secure cloud calls, directly to the My2N App or to indoor stations in apartments (use the 2N Clip 2wire-IP if you want to make use of existing cabling).

Fast and easy installation
The Milesight 4G Mini Industrial Router UR41 is designed for fast, plug-and-play installation. Installers simply insert a SIM card, connect the router to a power supply, change the default password, add the 2N intercom to My2N via its serial number, and then configure everything remotely through the My2N cloud.

The router provides secure 4G connectivity without requiring a bulky or expensive gateway solution. This significantly reduces installation complexity, while advanced IP features such as video communication, mobile access, and remote management remain fully available.

Compact design for demanding environments

With its palm-sized form factor and flexible mounting options, including DIN-rail, wall, or desk mounting, the router fits easily into projects with limited space. An optional installation kit for the 2N IP Verso (9155490SET) also makes it possible to place the router behind the 2N IP Verso’s blind module.

Despite its compact size, the device is built for demanding environments. The router features an industrial NXP processor, fast network response, support for multiple VPN types, and can operate at temperatures ranging from -40°C to +60°C. It is also highly energy-efficient, with low power consumption and a peak draw of just 260 mA, making it suitable for locations with limited power supply as well.

Built for challenging installation environments

The Milesight 4G Mini Industrial Router UR41 opens up new possibilities for projects where fixed connectivity has so far been a challenge. Whether it involves connecting an access gate several kilometres from a building, modernising an analogue system in a protected historic building, or making IP access technology accessible at locations with limited IT capabilities: installers can now deploy 2N intercoms with far greater flexibility.
