View, Update, or Delete Data

This means that you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we hold about you in a computer file to you or to another organization of your choice. You can send a request to access, correct, or delete your personal data, a request for data portability, a request to withdraw your consent, or an objection to the processing of your personal data to verkoop@businesscom.nl. To ensure that the request for access has been made by you, we ask that you include a copy of your ID with the request. In this copy, please black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine-readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number, and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but no later than four weeks. BusinessCom BV would also like to inform you that you have the option to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

How We Protect Personal Data

BusinessCom takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure, and unauthorized modification.

BusinessCom has taken the following measures to protect your personal data:

  • At the organizational level, we comply with the ISO 27001 standard for information security.
    ISO 27001 stipulates the following:
    • Certification for the management of customer data.
    • An information security policy has been established, and agreements have been made with employees and Processors regarding compliance with this policy.
    • Procedures have been established for risk assessment, risk treatment, and incident response.
    • A physical and logical access policy is in place for the various levels within the Processor’s environment to prevent unauthorized access.
    • An authentication and password policy is in place to prevent unauthorized logins and ensure the use of strong passwords.
    • Our in-house security team regularly tests for technical vulnerabilities within the network and surrounding systems.
    • All Processor employees must complete annual security training and pass a security test.
    • A procedure is in place to keep applications up to date.

     

  • At the technical level, we have implemented the following measures:
    • HTTPS encryption for web services
    • SSL Certificates
    • Personal logins with passwords for employees
    • Firewall(s) for the Internet
    • Session Border Controller for the MyConnect (Telepo) service
    • Antivirus software on PCs and servers
    • Regular backups of data within the systems.
    • No backups outside the fixed (wired and secure) network
    • Comprehensive logging of events on the systems.
