LANCOM Systems and Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity are joining forces and will henceforth operate together as Rohde & Schwarz Networks and Cybersecurity. This merger follows from the close collaboration that the two subsidiaries of Rohde & Schwarz already had with each other, and brings their complementary solutions together under one common name. LANCOM will continue to exist as a product label.
A clear course for further growth
The merger of LANCOM Systems and Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity is part of a deliberate growth strategy. By combining their strengths, both organisations can offer customers and partners a broader and better integrated portfolio of high-quality network and security solutions, all engineered in Germany.
New management as of 1 July 2026
Leadership of the combined company will rest with Constantin von Reden and Robert Mallinson, both currently directors at LANCOM. They will officially assume that role from 1 July 2026. LANCOM founder and current director of Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity Ralf Koenzen will continue to support the company in an advisory capacity.
Five hundred employees, six locations
Rohde & Schwarz Networks and Cybersecurity will have approximately five hundred employees, working across six offices in Würselen, Hamburg, Karlsruhe, Cologne, Berlin and Munich. The headquarters will remain in Würselen. All existing offices will stay open, and targeted investments will be made to realise the ambitious growth strategy.
Sharper focus on customer, market and internationalisation
A stronger customer orientation and further profiling of the service offering are central to the new strategy. In addition to existing activities for business customers in the area of Corporate Network Solutions, the renewed company will focus more explicitly on the public sector, critical infrastructure, and the security and defence market.
The growth ambitions are directed particularly at the European market, where Rohde & Schwarz Networks and Cybersecurity aims to roll out a comprehensive and targeted solutions portfolio. This brings together the strengths of both former sister companies into one integrated offering, focused on the growing demand for holistic and sovereign network and security solutions.
